I'm using Linux Mint (currently version 22.3).
I've been running Linux Mint on a secondary PC since around 2014 or
so, and it has been a very stable and hassle-free OS. I was running
my BBS in a Windows VN on it for quite a while (mainly using Linux to
run Plex Media Server), but I decided to move my BBS to the Linux host
OS in 2022 and have been very happy with it.

I'm running on Slackware-current which is a development release
snapshot about a year old. Hoping to see a version-release new
edition this year.
I liked Mint a bit more the Ubuntu, but Ubuntu seems to just work better for the BBS.
I have to agree. I have gotten about 10 Sunrise doors running under Ubuntu and dosemu2, and never got any of them working under Mint. I just keep working on one door at time now.

I agree, Ubuntu is solid, back when I was distro hopping I alway's landed back on Ubuntu.
Of course, the downside is that there is a huge amount of bloat.

Interesting.. I'm using Mint and Dosemu2 and have set up a few
Sunrise doors
and haven't had any trouble with them.

The other side of the coin, Arch, which I've enjoyed using at home,
lacks pretty much everything and you have to go through and install what
you want. I found out that it didn't have any sort of time
synchronization daemon running the other after about 6 months of using
it :)
I very much like running Mint. My BBS ran very good on it. I could never get dosemu2 to work with any doors. I put Ubuntu on the same PC as a dual boot and installed the same BBS setup, installed dosemu2 and did get 10 doors working. They where Sunrise Doors. I have NOT gotten anf of my classic or JNS working yet.
